I used your void linux setup tutorial to set it up on an old thinkpad ! I had previously been using Mint, which is cool but this was really going in to the deep end for me so I thought your guide was super helpful Thank you !!!

how did you come across my site?: Void Linux

Greetings and salutations. Nice to see another Void user (even if you're not an active user). I am way older than you, but it's great to see how Linux and tech can unite people of all ages. Vozdra from a Bosnian!

Hello! I came across your website a bit ago when I was trying to find out how to make a 2D vrc avatar, and following your tutorial was super neat! I think what you do here is super awesome as well. I could never bring myself to learn anything like Linux, but maybe that'll change one day . . . I used simple stuff like stawpage to kind of get into website stuff, without admittedly getting super angry- Anyways, thanks for the tutorial! Would be super cool to chat again!

thanku thanku!!! glad to hear the tutorial helped out!! switching to linux from [insert os] can be a lengthy process, especially since it's gonna be different to what you're used to, but it's not hard to use linux!! just time consuming in most cases :p pls make a button/blinkie so i can add ur page with the rest!!!

how did you come across my site?: I was looking for alpine linux, whether its usable for desktop pc and found your guide to install alpine linux.

i'm planning to add scrolling buttons/blinkies for advertising other sites. feel free to leave a link and a button/blinkie in this field and i might add it alongside other ones!: Sofar ive used artix openrc community edition for over a year and was not disappointed except for some bloat, but i was thinking alpine could be better as secure desktop pc distro.

Your website is really well made, like an open book, and it could be popular as theme for building personal homepages. By selling homepages with themes like this you could make a good business. But of course its easier told as done. And working on donation-basis on free fediverse apps to create custom profiles may be an alternative. But iam not a programmer, although iam interested in giving some input for example a secure advanced distro.

you'd be surprised to know that i am using a hugo theme! i modified it to add my own QoL stuff to it. actually surprised to see someone wants to use Alpine as a desktop. i know that being limited to musl C library is kinda challenging since not a lot of stuff is built with it. it could work definitely but you'd want to use flatpak for most desktop apps.

Ello! Seems like your small talk RSS broke because you used a relative link that does not include your domain name. My reader can't get it because of that reason

Replied on: March 23, 2026 at 1:03:34 PM

hallo! thanks for pointing out the issue! that was probably from me tweaking the small talk page while working on the main site. really odd since it doesn't happen to me in Thunderbird. it should be fixed now.

how did you come across my site?: In ythe hopes of asking for an avatar ive been wanting to be made for me for awhile !

Is there someway i could by-chance contact you (Mainly Discord = whyhegreentho < My Disc) For an avatar ? Ide been looking for someone to do this for awhile & its been really hard to find anyone who could do this for me, as i have 0 experience in avatar making/unity shenanigans- If i could talk it over with you for possible pricing & such that would be great ! & its 101% fine if you can't/Don't wanna either !

heyyy!!!! sorry to disappoint, but i don't do commissions cuz to me, it'd be kinda stressful and i'd be super nervous since i'm not that good at making avatars,,,,,,, :p if the avatar you want is human or human-shaped, you could try out the software i used to make my avatars "VRoid Studio" to try and make it yourself!
